Even criminals have a soft heart when it comes to their pets. Take one burglary suspect in San Antonio.

42-year-old Gerardo Daniel Reyna reportedly brought his small dog, a Chihuahua, along with him during a theft at a restaurant. Surveillance footage captured Reyna stealing money from a jukebox.

The pooch was right behind him the entire time.

Reyna was able to swipe a little over $100 from the music machine, however he left a trail of money on the street for investigators to follow.

Reyna and his dog fled on foot to a nearby business and hid in some bushes.

However when officers began getting close to their location, the small pooch began growling, easily getting cops’ attention. A K-9 dog was brought to the scene for assistance.

The Chihuahua was eventually lured away from Reyna and police were able to arrest the human crook without incident.

The restaurant owner’s sister stated “It’s actually really funny, because you’ve never seen somebody break into a restaurant with a little dog following them.”
